Greetings to all Lodge Members and Coworkers,
I would like to begin by thanking everyone for their understanding over the past few months
regarding my Mom’s illness and Gwen’s broken back. I am grateful for all the well wishes, both are
It looks like Spring is really here, but I know a few of you can remember some April snowstorms.
Spring is typically known as the season of regrowth. So it is at this time in the Moose year, we put
on the final push for bringing new members into our fraternity. We hope with all the new members
also come new ideas and regrowth of our Lodge,
and participation to support our fraternal home. Moose International currently has an incentive
program that provides free memberships to our first responders in the community. Wisconsin
Moose Associasion continues to award a great duffle bag when you sponsor five (5) members.
By the time you are reading this our annual Polkafest will be over. If past events are any indication
this year’s Polkafest will have also been successful. It was nice to see everyone coming together
to volunteer to make this event a success. It does not seem to matter who the party is geared to,
all members of the Lodge come out to support Polkafest, from selling wrist bands, cleaning tables,
manning the bars, setting up and to tearing down. Many Lodge members and co-workers gave
many hours to assure the success of this event. It would be nice if I could see that same volunteer
support at the activities we have at the Lodge. If we could all come together and give a little time
to the activities here at the Lodge, things would go a lot smoother and would help the Lodge grow
financially. Let’s face it, you don’t have to like BINGO to sell cards. You all know where I am
coming from, so please look at our calendar and set aside a few hours to help the Lodge. You
might even have a good time.
As always I look forward to seeing everyone around the Lodge. My office door is always open for
questions or comments.
