Greetings Lodge Members and Coworkers,
As you are reading this I am attending the annual Moose International Convention in Tampa, Florida. I will be bringing back new ideas and programs that will help your Lodge grow and prosper. I look forward to discussing with every member these ideas.
The theme for this Moose year is “Moose – Honoring Community Heroes”. As a fraternity and Lodge we will be recognizing those individuals and organizations who share our value of “doing good for others”, whether it’s a first responder, military personnel, or simply an individual volunteer. The Moose believe in supporting people who respond in times of need and invite those individuals who step up to add their talents and passion to our fraternity.
Your Lodge has many activities planned for this year to honor our local heroes; one of our first events will be a complimentary dinner for first responders being held on August 16th at 6:00 pm. The first responders will be treated to a dinner and be given an opportunity to learn about our fraternity, each first responder attending will be offered a one year complimentary membership in our Lodge. This offer of a complimentary membership is open to all first responders, active military, active guard and border patrol. Through December 31st. If any member knows of a first responder who would like to take advantage of this offer, please speak with me or any of the Board of Officers.
The Board of Officers has decided that due to low participation by our members on certain days, we are putting into effect Summer hours which are posted throughout the Lodge. If you have any questions or concerns please speak to any Board member.
There are many things that will keep your Lodge growing: volunteers who are able to help with the many activities planned, participation and support of the activities and membership we need to retain our current members and invite new people to join your Lodge and Chapter. If each member and coworker does these three things your Lodge will continue to grow and be able to support our children at Mooseheart and seniors at Moosehaven.
My door is always open to any member or coworker. I would like to hear your ideas and concerns, but remember the best way to know what is happening is to attend a meeting. Lodge and Chapter meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month. See you at the Lodge.
Fraternally Yours,
Matt Boardman, Administrator
